UltraSoC Short-listed in IET Engineering Awards
COLCHESTER, United Kingdom - UltraSoC Technologies Ltd, has been short-listed for the Software in Design Award as part of the IET Innovation in Engineering Awards. The Software in Design Award is sponsored by The MathWorks and the three companies competing for the honour are I & E Systems Pty Ltd, QinetiQ and UltraSoC. The software developed by the Company is it's UltraOptimize product - a timing analysis and optimisation tool for real-time embedded systems. The tool is part of a new approach to system optimisation, verification and debugging and has been designed by Richard Scottow and Andrew Hopkins working with Dr Klaus McDonald-Maier UltraSoC's CTO and Reader in the Department of Computing and Electronic Systems at the University of Essex. Klaus commented, "We are thrilled to be short-listed for the Software Design Award by the IET. We feel our product, which is soon to be made available, will provide system designers with a much needed tooling to implement advanced embedded systems and will provide enormous benefits in lowering design and manufacturing costs while improving safety and reliability in a wide range of computer and semiconductor applications."
The presentation of the awards will take place on 13th of November 2007 at Grosvenor Square, London W1, UK.
