UltraSoC Technologies successfully completes EEDA Grant for Work to Enable Advanced Debugging Technology

CAMBRIDGE, United Kingdom, 8th June 2010

UltraSoC Technologies, a pioneer of next-generation debugging technology for embedded systems, today announced that it has successfully completed its Grant for Research and Development – Research Grant from the East of England Development Agency (EEDA). The project, which was finished ahead of the original eight month schedule, has assessed the technology and commercial feasibility of an innovative high capacity trace system which will be a key part of the Company’s debugging platform.

UltraSoC is developing and marketing UltraDebug™, a highly flexible, multiprocessor, System-on-Chip (SoC) debug support platform. UltraDebug™ will provide higher performance, application-level, debugging facilities that will enable the embedded systems industry to create more advanced, reliable and safe products in markets such as automotive and consumer devices. ‘The support from EEDA was a key part of building our technology offering. We have now completed our technology prototype which showcases the unique aspects of our superior technology in terms of performance and the capability to debug any processor’ said Dr Karl Heeks, CEO of UltraSoC. ‘We have received huge support and interest from system-integrators and end-users in a broad range of application areas. Over the next 12 months we will develop the technology to a licensable product and integrate the silicon IP into mainstream SoCs for applications including automotive and mobile phones.’
